Job summary

Sedgemoor Manor School is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join the maintenance team. The role focuses on reactive day-to-day maintenance across the site and grounds, with opportunities to assist other homes in the community and liaise with contractors when on site.

We are seeking a passionate handyperson and DIYer who can respond to maintenance issues, support safety practices, and contribute to a culture of care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance position.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety in the workplace (training provided).
• Organised, adaptable and thorough in approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive day-to-day maintenance issues within the site and grounds.
• Support other homes in the community and liaise with contractors on site.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from management as necessary.
