Job summary

WG060 Witherslack Group Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a maintenance worker to perform general repairs and keep the school environment safe and welcoming for pupils. You will also be responsible for maintaining school vehicles and grounds, contributing to a positive setting for learners.

You will drive, service and upkeep vehicles, participate in safeguarding training, and work within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school up and running.
• Drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order.
• Ensure the school grounds and garden are neat and tidy.
• Be a familiar, friendly face and engage with pupils; training on safeguarding will be provided.
