Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a maintenance worker to keep our school buildings, vehicles, grounds and gardens in good repair, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils. You’ll be the familiar face who supports day-to-day repairs and safeguarding training, with induction and ongoing development in safeguarding.

Join a team dedicated to hands-on facilities management across our campuses. You will also drive school vehicles as needed and contribute to high standards of estate care,

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a 'can do' attitude - a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general day-to-day repairs to keep the school running.
• Drive school vehicles and keep them in good working order.
• Maintain school grounds and gardens to keep them neat and tidy.
