Job summary

Witherslack Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep our school buildings, vehicles, and grounds in excellent condition. You will perform general repairs, operate school vehicles, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for pupils with additional needs.

The role requires a can-do attitude, some maintenance skills, and willingness to undertake Health & Safety training. A DBS check is required; 35 days holiday and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school running.
• Drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order.
• Maintain school grounds and garden in neat condition.
• Be a familiar, friendly face; training on safeguarding will be provided.
