Job summary

The Witherslack Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our school facilities team. You’ll carry out general day‑to‑day repairs to keep the school running smoothly, drive the school vehicles, and ensure the grounds and gardens are neat and well maintained.

You’ll be a friendly face for pupils and will receive safeguarding training to build confidence. We are expanding the Secret Garden school in Autumn 2026 and aim to deliver outstanding educational experiences.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude– a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Do general day-to-day repairs to keep the school building up and running.
• Drive the school vehicles and keep them in good working order.
• Keep the school grounds and garden neat and tidy.
