Job summary

Witherslack Group is looking for a maintenance worker to help keep our school buildings in excellent condition, drive the school vehicles, and maintain the grounds. You will also be a friendly face to pupils, with safeguarding training provided.

The role offers £24,796 - £27,694 plus excellent benefits. Training on Health & Safety and DBS checks will be provided, and the company supports safeguarding and welfare for its young people.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general day-to-day repairs to keep the school running smoothly.
• Drive and maintain school vehicles in good working order.
• Keep school grounds and garden neat and tidy.
• Participate in safeguarding training as part of your role.
