Job summary

Witherslack Group is hiring a maintenance worker to keep our school buildings, vehicles and grounds in excellent condition. You’ll perform general repairs, drive school vehicles and ensure safety and upkeep across facilities, while engaging with young people in a supportive environment.

We offer a competitive salary (£24,796 - £27,694) plus excellent benefits, including 35 days holiday, health and wellbeing support, and a generous staff referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Have some maintenance skills, either professionally or as a DIY enthusiast.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others.
• Be confident taking responsibility for buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment.
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general, day-to-day repairs to keep the school running.
• Drive school vehicles and keep them in good working order.
• Maintain the school grounds and garden and keep them neat and tidy.
