Job summary

Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee all catering and service operations for Chartwells at a school in Leek on a 25-hour week.

You will lead kitchens and service counters, ensuring high standards of food quality and customer service, and support line managers while promoting health and safety standards. DBS checks will be conducted as part of pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Two years catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a catering setting.
• Holder of a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to high standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to deliver great food and service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across teams.
