Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Chef in one of our schools in Bristol to lead culinary service, craft healthy menus and deliver high-quality food for students and staff.

The role requires passion, experience in catering with fresh ingredients, and strong leadership. Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene levels 2 & 3 is essential. Work is Monday to Friday during school term with 40 hours per week and 35 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Proven catering experience, with focus on fresh ingredients.
• Health and Safety practices knowledge, with relevant certifications.
• Education catering knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Menu Excellence: Expert preparation of menus using fresh ingredients.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate kitchen team for smooth service.
• Safety Champion: Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety regs.
• Excellent Hospitality: Manage high-quality hospitality requests for school clients and events.
• Building Community: Develop strong relationships with school clients and students.
