Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is seeking a Chef Manager in Backwell, United Kingdom, to take full operational and financial responsibility for the school catering facility.

You will lead the kitchen team, drive menu development, and promote sales through monthly promotions while ensuring quality and safety standards. Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Gross Profit (GP) management and ability to hit sales targets.
• Excellent craft skills using fresh ingredients to deliver high-quality food.
• Proven line management experience; ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices; compliance oriented.

Responsibilities

• Financial Control: Manage and improve controllable costs (stock, food, labour).
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, train and inspire kitchen staff to deliver excellence.
• Culinary Innovation: Oversee menus and drive sales with monthly promotions and events.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure standards and legislation are met via audits and proactive management.
