Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. seeks a Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school catering facility. You will lead a kitchen team, manage GP and costs, and drive culinary quality and customer satisfaction within a fast-growing education catering environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, health and safety compliance, and ongoing menu innovation to elevate dining experiences. Monday to Friday school term work with significant growth potential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GP management and the ability to drive profitability.
• Proven experience in line management and team coaching.
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Experience in menu development and culinary innovation is desirable.
• OND/HND is a bonus, but practical experience matters most.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: manage and improve controllable costs including stock, food and labour.
• Team leadership: lead, coach, train and inspire the kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Culinary innovation: oversee menu development and drive sales with promotions and events.
• Quality assurance: ensure standards, systems and legislation are met through audits and proactive management.
