Job summary

Aspens Services in Lutterworth is seeking a passionate Chef to lead school dining. You will craft nutritious menus, mentor a kitchen team, and ensure strict health, safety and allergen standards are met. This role focuses on delivering high-quality food and service within a supportive school environment.

The position offers term-time hours, Monday to Friday, with a fixed-term contract to December 2026. You will work 27.5 hours per week at £12.95 per hour, with development opportunities through

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a catering environment, focusing on using fresh ingredients.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Certification in Food Hygiene Level 2 and 3.
• Willing to mentor a team and raise standards.

Responsibilities

• Menu excellence: Expert preparation of menus using fresh ingredients.
• Team leadership: Supervising and motivating kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Safety champion: Ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety regulations.
• Excellent hospitality: Managing hospitality requests for school clients and events.
• Building community: Developing relationships with school clients and students.
