Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Cook to assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for the school catering service. The role requires teamwork, adherence to hygiene and safety standards, and contributing to providing a high-quality customer dining experience.

You'll work under the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor and support supervision of staff, with responsibilities including menus, portion control, stock handling and promoting the service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, including menu planning and portion control.
• Record keeping and stock management.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety, including temperature recording.
• Supervise other staff and support training where needed.
• Assist in promoting the service to parents, principals and customers to increase uptake.
