Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the daily operation of the school catering unit under the supervision of the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor.

You will assist with basic food preparation, meal service, dining room duties and hygiene tasks, while promoting meals to pupils and ensuring a friendly, safe environment for all learners.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils and parents.
• Maintaining contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Preparing dining area and setting tables and serving points.
• Carrying out general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and cleaning.
