St Joseph's Boys' School in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a part-time cook (25 hours per week) to assist the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor in preparing and cooking meals for pupils and staff, with hours to be agreed. You will help with menu planning, portion control, HACCP hygiene, stock-taking and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring a hygienic, efficient service and promoting uptake of school meals.

The position is paid at NJC scale PT 11–14 (£14.99–£15.74 per hour) with a retainer paid during

Competenze

• HACCP knowledge is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to plan and organise kitchen activities.

Mansioni

• Assist in preparing full range of meals and menus.
• Maintain hygiene and safety, including temperature logs.
• Assist with stock-taking and kitchen management in absence of supervisor.
• Supervise and train other kitchen staff as required.
• Support promotion of school meals to parents and pupils.
