Qualifikationen

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1 & 706-2 or equivalent or higher qualification.
• Two years’ experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Willingness to undertake job related training.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the preparation of meals and menus.
• Record keeping, hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen.
• Direction and supervision of other staff where applicable.
• Operational control of service points including transported meals.
• Stock-taking, stores, fridges and delivery receipts.
• General kitchen management in absence of the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor.
• Promote the service to parents, principals and customers to increase uptake.
• Duties to secure premises and maintain cleanliness.
