Job summary

Berkeley Scott is sourcing a Kitchen Assistant for an Oxford school with an immediate start. You will support the school kitchen, assist with basic food prep, and help the catering team during service.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team. DBS check is required, along with Food Safety Level 2 and Allergens certificates, or a willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable in a busy school kitchen.
• Enhanced DBS cleared and able to provide 2 references.
• Hold Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen Certificates, or willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and serving.
• Support catering team during meals and busy service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and allergen procedures.
• Washing up and keeping kitchen organized.
