Job summary

Berkeley Scott are recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a school kitchen in Loughborough, with an immediate start available. You will assist with the preparation and serving, support the kitchen team with day-to-day catering duties, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and follow food safety and health and safety procedures.

Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen certificates are required or obtainable; Enhanced DBS and two references are requested; the

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate is required or willing to obtain.
• Food Allergen certificate is required or willing to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS is required.
• Two references are required.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food.
• Supporting the kitchen team with day-to-day catering duties.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised.
• Following food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Helping with deliveries, stock rotation and general kitchen duties where required.
