Holy Family Catholic Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join the school catering team at Platt Bridge. You will work alongside the School Cook to serve nutritious meals to pupils and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

The role is up to 30 hours per week, typically 8:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time plus one week. Previous kitchen experience and a commitment to healthy eating are valued.

Competenze

• Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably with children.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and stay organised.

Mansioni

• Prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals for pupils.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
• Support menu delivery and daily specials preparation.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and reducing food waste.
• Promote healthy eating and make lunchtimes enjoyable for pupils.
• Step into a leadership role to cover the School Cook when needed.
