Job summary

Oaklands Catholic School in Waterlooville, Hampshire, is seeking an IT Technician to join our IT Support team and deliver day‑to‑day IT services across the school network, devices, and classroom technology.

You will support a mixed primary, secondary and sixth form environment, visiting sites as needed, and work 37 hours per week with term-time plus holidays policy as applicable. The role emphasizes safeguarding, effective ICT use, and clear communication with staff and pupils.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) C+ and above including Maths and English.
• Level 3 in IT Infrastructure (or equivalent).
• Ability to work in sympathy with the school ethos.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with staff and pupils.
• Ability to use ICT packages (Office Suite and email).
• Commitment to safeguarding of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support to the school IT team.
• Manage devices and equipment inventory.
• Support network and systems for the school.
• Contribute to technical projects and classroom technology deployments.
• Assist with marketing and communications support where needed.
• Maintain infrastructure and systems
• Support staff development and learning activities.
