Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking 3 full-time fixed-term School Inclusion Officers to support schools and partners across the county. The role focuses on ensuring inclusive practices enable all children to access education appropriate to their needs, with a learner-centred approach and timely support.

Travel across the county is required; the post requires enhanced DBS clearance, and some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within an education setting.
• Commitment to inclusive education practices for children with additional needs.
• Ability to guide and challenge school leaders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and advice to schools and Trusts on inclusive practice.
• Support attendance, safeguarding and SEND-related processes in line with policy.
• Collaborate with SEND and pastoral teams to raise education outcomes.
• Act as first point of contact for allocated schools and build strong relationships.
