Job summary

King John School is seeking an experienced and compassionate School Medical Lead to join our Student Support team. You will take charge of day-to-day health needs of students, overseeing first aid and medication administration, while coordinating prescribed medicines and maintaining accurate records.

You will develop healthcare plans with students, families and staff, ensuring safety compliance and allergy management. This role supports safeguarding and contributes to students’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Professional, calm and approachable demeanor.
• Experience in school health or safeguarding aligned with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day health needs of students, including First Aid and medication administration.
• Coordinate provision of prescribed medication and maintain storage and records.
• Develop and review Healthcare plans with students, parents and staff.
• Ensure compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and allergy safety requirements.
