Stowupland High School is seeking a professional and friendly Food Service Assistant to join our school-based catering teams across the Mid Suffolk schools. Under the guidance of the Head of Kitchen, you will assist with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals.

This part-time role (15 hours/week, 38 weeks/year) is based primarily at Stowupland High School with potential duties at trust sites in the Stowmarket area. The post requires flexibility and DBS safeguarding checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of food preparation and/or kitchen support.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Ability to prioritise work and adapt to varied requests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
• Support from the local kitchen and wider trust teams; travel to trust sites as needed.
