Job summary

Bungay High School is seeking a Catering Assistant to provide high-quality food and beverage service for staff and pupils, in line with Health and Safety Food Hygiene regulations. The role is permanent, 22.5 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with a daily pattern of 9.00am–2.00pm and a 30-minute unpaid break.

Salary is £25,219 per annum pro rata. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking and serving, following menus, maintaining hygiene, assisting with ordering and stock, and supporting

• Experience in catering or school kitchen preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines.

• Follow menu plans with Catering Manager.
• Assist with menu planning and recipes.
• Maintain hygiene and health and safety practices.
• Assist with ordering and recording catering supplies.
• Attend meetings with the Catering team.
