Job summary

Alder Brook is seeking a proactive Site Officer to join our SEND school and PRU. You will help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors while ensuring the site is well kept, secure and fit for purpose to support learning and development.

Key duties include securing buildings and grounds, carrying out routine maintenance, managing contractors, enforcing health and safety standards, keeping the site clean and presentable, helping set up rooms for events, and

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and site management.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Organised and reliable.
• Good relationships with staff, contractors and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and site inspections.
• Manage contractors and oversee site-related works.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of the school site.
• Support the school with setting up rooms and facilities for events and activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required.
