Job summary

Redborne Upper School and Community College is seeking a committed and experienced Site Agent to maintain a safe, compliant and high‑quality learning environment for pupils and staff throughout the year.

The role involves managing site security, safety checks, routine maintenance and coordinating with contractors to ensure facilities are well‑kept, welcoming and ready for lessons. Flexibility for evening lettings and occasional weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Caretaking, facilities or maintenance experience preferred, training provided where necessary.
• Basic ICT confidence and practical repair abilities.
• Comfort with physical tasks including lifting, moving equipment, and working at heights.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and basic security systems.

Responsibilities

• Site security and access control, open/lock facilities, support emergencies beyond normal hours.
• Maintenance and first-line repairs to fixtures, report major hazards promptly.
• Health, safety and compliance checks including fire alarms and emergency exits.
• Porterage and setup for deliveries, classrooms or events, equipment logistics.
• Collaborate with Site Manager, external contractors, and staff on maintenance schedules.
