Job summary

REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking an experienced School Caretaker to manage the school site, maintain facilities, and ensure a clean, safe environment for pupils and staff. The role requires coordinating caretaking tasks, liaising with senior staff, and supporting day-to-day operations across the site.

You will lead on safety compliance, supervise contractors, and maintain records for maintenance and risk assessments while contributing to a welcoming educational environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility management and site upkeep.
• Ability to oversee on-site contractors and daily operations.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety laws and compliance.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee caretaking, maintenance, cleaning and security of the school site.
• Liaise with Headteacher and Office Coordinator on site issues.
• Monitor contractors and coordinate pre-planned maintenance works.
• Maintain internal and external fabric and safety of the premises.
