Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a proactive Facilities Assistant / Caretaker for a local school site in Knowsley. You will manage opening/closing, security, porterage and basic maintenance, acting as a key contact between the company and the school.

Role requires Enhanced DBS, a full driving licence with vehicle access to travel between sites, and ownership of safety boots. Strong health & safety awareness, good communication, and the ability to prioritise under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS is essential.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between school sites will be required.
• Own safety boots/shoes (PPE provided).

Responsibilities

• Lock and unlock school buildings and supervise site security.
• Carry out planned maintenance and minor repairs; record meter readings.
• Issue access permits to contractors and ensure COSHH compliance.
• Handle porterage requests and maintain site documentation.
