Job summary

Hatched Recruitment Group is recruiting a proactive Caretaker to work across multiple school sites in Knowsley. The role involves general site management, maintenance, security, porterage and excellent customer service. You will work across early and late shifts, with a 37.5 hour week and commute across sites as needed.

Essential duties include opening/locking premises, routine repairs and site inspections, plus assisting with safety and COSHH compliance. Driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Practical maintenance skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Open and lock school buildings as required.
• Carry out regular site security checks and keep buildings secure.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to the school.
• Manage visitors and contractors, including maintaining the site visitor book.
• Monitor and manage external contractors following health and safety procedures.
• Carry out porterage duties and respond to school requests.
• Complete minor works including painting and notice boards.
