Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant / Caretaker for school sites in Knowsley. You will manage opening/closing, building maintenance, porterage and security, acting as a key contact between the school and our team.

This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with early and late shifts, occasional weekends and overtime. DBS check is essential, driving licence is required for travel between sites, and safety boots are required.

Qualifications

• DBS check essential.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for site-to-site travel in Knowsley.
• Own safety boots/shoes required.
• Practical DIY/maintenance ability and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lock/unlock school buildings and monitor security and site access.
• Carry out planned maintenance and minor repairs, record monthly meter readings.
• Issue access permits and ensure COSHH compliance for chemicals.
• Provide general porterage and site support as directed by the Site Manager.
