Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks a proactive Facilities Assistant / Caretaker to manage a Knowsley school site, handling access, security, and general maintenance. You will ensure safety and compliance while supporting daily site operations.

The role requires an Enhanced DBS, a full driving license with access to a vehicle, and own safety boots. You will cover rotating shifts, with occasional weekend work and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check is essential.
• Full driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required.
• Safety boots/shoes must be provided by candidate, PPE provided for others.

Responsibilities

• Site Access & Security: Lock/unlock buildings, manage sign-ins, supervise site during community use.
• Maintenance & Compliance: Planned maintenance, minor repairs, record monthly meter readings.
• Health & Safety: Issue access permits, follow COSHH guidelines, report issues.
• General Site Support: Porterage requests, keep equipment in good repair, maintain site docs.
