Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Upminster is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering team and oversee day-to-day dining and hospitality services at the site. You will manage budgets, quality, and client satisfaction while ensuring compliant operations and continuous service improvements.

The role requires a hands-on manager with strong communication, budgeting, and team leadership skills, delivering excellent food standards and customer service across staff and members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering excellent food standards in a catering environment.
• Hands-on Catering Manager leading teams in production and service.
• Proven ability to communicate with clients and meet objectives.
• Competent computer skills and familiarity with standard software.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Customer service excellence and teamwork mindset.
• Ability to manage and motivate staff to high performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production and service for member and staff dining.
• Deliver budgets and contribute to annual financial plans.
• Develop dining and hospitality facilities across the site.
• Prepare monthly and annual Profit & Loss statements.
• Ensure compliance with policies and maintain service standards.
• Drive food offer development aligned with market trends.
