Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a School Cleaner to join our cleaning team. You will undertake daily cleaning tasks across classrooms and facilities to maintain a hygienic learning environment.

The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, COSHH, and the ability to work as part of a team. Responsibilities include floor care, toilet/shower cleaning, dusting, waste disposal and reporting any faults.

Qualifications

• The requirements of a School Cleaner.
• Cleaning methods / machinery.
• Health and Safety requirements relevant to the role, including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and surfaces across designated areas.
• Clean toilets and shower areas and maintain fixtures.
• Dust and clean walls, ledges and furnishings up to 3.35m.
• Empty bins and manage waste according to policy.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as issued.
