Job summary

Education Authority in Northern Ireland is seeking a School Cleaner to join a cleaning team responsible for maintaining classrooms and facilities across premises. You will sweep, mop, and scrub floors, clean toilets and showers, remove litter, and ensure surfaces are kept to a high standard.

The role requires adherence to Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, and the Authority's procedures. Training will be provided, and you may cover colleagues on sick leave as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of School Cleaning requirements.
• Health and safety requirements relevant to the role.
• Experience with cleaning methods and machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors using appropriate equipment.
• Clean toilets and showers including fixtures.
• Polish surfaces and clean ledges and walls up to 3.35m.
• Empty and empty litter bins and remove litter to designated points.
