Pinnacle Group is recruiting a part-time School Cleaner at Ravenshall Primary School, Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury. The role is 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 3:30pm–6:00pm during term time, with an additional 12.5 hours between 8:00am–4:00pm during school holidays.

You will join our Total FM Cleaning Team to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards across the school facilities. duties include cleaning classrooms and toilets, managing waste, and adhering to COSHH and colour-coding

Qualifications

Cleaning experience in a school environment preferred.
DBS check required (Enhanced) to meet safeguarding regulations.
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks and replenish dispensers.
Clean classrooms; damp-wipe tables, legs, chairs, desks and hard surfaces.
Clean internal glazing.
Vacuum soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting.
Sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates and other surfaces.
Sweep and mop floors.
Periodic deep cleaning during school holidays.
Follow colour coding directives and regularly change mop heads and cloths.
Collect, store and remove waste to the collection point.

Job description

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner (including school holidays) to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. You will be joining our Total FM Cleaning Team based at Ravenshall Primary School in Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury WF12.

Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone.

Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent.

You will be working with a team of school cleaners for 12 ½ hours per week – Monday to Friday, 3.30pm – 6pm term time, then you work your 12 ½ hr between 8am – 4pm during the school holidays.

Key responsibilities will include:

Cleaning classrooms; Damp-wipe tables, legs, chairs, desks and hard surfaces, including window sills and skirting boards
Cleaning of internal glazing
Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting
To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces.
Sweeping and mopping floors
Periodic deep cleaning during specified school holidays
To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and are regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
To ensure the correct collection, storage, and removal of waste/rubbish from the work area to the collection point.

Key requirements will include :

The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals, including COSHH.
Cleaning experience in a school environment would be preferred;
