Job summary

Crookhey Hall School in Lancaster is seeking a part-time School Cleaner to join our friendly team. Working 16 hours per week during term time, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe environment for pupils.

This permanent role offers regular hours with mornings and evenings free, and training provided. We value reliability, punctuality and a can-do attitude, with emphasis on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas clean, hygienic and welcoming.
• Carry out routine cleaning alongside occasional deep-cleaning and additional tasks when required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored safely in line with COSHH requirements.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and let the team know when stock needs replenishing.
• Identify and report any maintenance or health and safety concerns.
• Work alongside the Site Manager and wider team to maintain high standards across the school.
• Help create a safe and positive environment for our pupils, colleagues and visitors.

Rota: Monday to Thursday 2.00pm - 5.00pm, Friday 1.00pm - 5.00pm
Salary: £9,455.20 per annum
(£13.25 per hour, not pro rata)

Previous cleaning experience is welcomed, particularly within a school, healthcare or similar environment, but full training can be provided.

Crookhey Hall School has a 15-acre setting in countryside south of Cockerham, near Lancaster. Due to the location, it would be beneficial for candidates to have a driving licence.
