Pinnacle Group is seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness at Castle Hill School, Newsome HD4. You will join our Total FM Cleaning Team, delivering cleaning duties during term-time and school holidays.

Responsibilities

Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks and replenish dispensers.
Clean classrooms; wipe tables, chairs, desks and surfaces including sills.
Clean internal glazing and vacuum carpets and floors.
Sanitise touchpoints and door handles.
Handle waste and ensure safe storage and collection.
Periodic deep cleaning during school holidays.
Adhere to colour coding and equipment maintenance.
Work alone or as part of a team; follow COSHH and safety rules.

Job description

Pinnacle Group is looking for a dedicated School Cleaner (including school holidays) to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. You will be joining our Total FM Cleaning Team based at Castle Hill School in Newsome HD4. Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently - helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone. Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. You will be working with a team of school cleaners for 12 ½ hours per week - Monday to Friday, 3pm - 5.30pm term time, then you work your 12 ½ hr between 8am - 4pm during the school holidays.

Roles and Responsibilities

Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and replenish all consumable dispensers
Cleaning classrooms; Damp-wipe tables, legs, chairs, desks and hard surfaces, including window sills and skirting boards
Cleaning of internal glazing
Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting
To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces.
Sweeping and mopping floors
Periodic deep cleaning during specified school holidays
To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and are regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
To ensure the correct collection, storage, and removal of waste/rubbish from the work area to the collection point.
The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals, including COSHH.
Cleaning experience in a school environment would be preferred; however, full training will be given.
