Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Chef Manager at Mountfields Lodge Primary to deliver nutritionally balanced meals during term-time. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends.

You will lead the site, supervise teams, manage inventories and budgets while ensuring health, safety and food safety standards are met. You will act as the primary contact for the school and client, driving improvements and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in a kitchen/food service environment.
• Ability to manage inventories, budgets and action plans.
• Experience in delivering high standards of food safety and health & safety compliance.
• Proven ability to liaise with clients and act as main point of contact in-site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present meals to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Food Safety compliance for the location.
• Lead day-to-day running of the site and supervise teams.
• Manage inventories, monitor budgets and implement action plans.
• Be the main client contact at the school, proposing improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager.
• Support and train teams to ensure high performance.
