Full-time, Permanent, School Chef / Cook job vacancy in Reading, Berkshire. Term Time Only.

Your Role

As their Chef, you will work as part of a team to provide nutritious and healthy meals for the children and young people they support. You will menu plan, considering the diverse dietary requirements of the young people in their care, and collaborate with their specialist therapy team to develop suitable menus. You will also line manage a team, ensuring adequate induction, training, and support, while remaining hands-on yourself.

Key Information

• £13.14 to £14.72 per hour / £23,500 to £26,300 Actual Salary
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, Term Time Only
• Experience in a catering environment (school, residential, or healthcare setting)
• Experience catering for complex dietary needs
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and food hygiene procedures
• Level 2 Food Hygiene – desired
