Job Title: Kitchen Manager

We are recruiting an experienced Kitchen Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service. This role involves overseeing all catering and service operations for Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 33.75 hours per week.

As a Kitchen Manager, your responsibilities will include ensuring smooth kitchen and service counter operations and delivering outstanding food experiences. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing high-standard, delicious food
• Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure quality and service excellence
• Managing catering operations, including inventory, budgets, and action plans
• Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Identifying opportunities for new food or service concepts to increase sales
• Liaising with customers and teams to exceed expectations
• Supporting and training team members to excel in their roles
• Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards for compliance

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum of two years catering experience
• Experience managing teams in a similar role
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ambitious and motivated with a desire to upskill
