Job summary

Integra People Limited is seeking a School Chef for a school in the Mansfield (NG20) area. You will prepare nutritious meals for pupils and contribute to a positive dining experience in a school setting.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–1:30pm, with emphasis on high food hygiene standards and working collaboratively with the school team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a chef or catering role is essential.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
• A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.

School Chef on behalf of a school in the Mansfield (NG20) area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable chef who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious meals and creating a positive dining experience for children.

The Role

As School Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to pupils, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking nutritious, well-balanced meals for pupils.
• Catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and organised.
• Managing food stock, storage and waste efficiently.
• Working effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the school kitchen.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a chef or catering role is essential.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
• A Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to undergo the necessary safeguarding checks, in line with school requirements.
