Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is currently recruiting for an experienced School Cook to work in a busy school in Shirebrook, NG20, with shifts 8:30am to 1:30pm and a pay rate of £15.00 per hour.

You will prepare nutritious meals, follow planned menus, manage food safety, and help with stock and hygiene in a high-volume kitchen. A Child Only Enhanced DBS registered with Update Service is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a kitchen or catering environment.
• School, nursery, care or similar high-volume catering experience would be advantageous
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparation
• Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification desirable
• An understanding of allergies and special dietary requirements
• Reliable, organised and able to work efficiently within a busy environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• You MUST already hold a Child Only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

• Working closely with catering and school staff to ensure an efficient lunchtime service
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces and food preparation areas as required

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience who is confident preparing and serving nutritious meals within a busy school environment. You will play an important role in ensuring pupils receive high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
