Job summary

Vertas, a facilities management firm, is recruiting a School Chef for Misson Primary. This daytime, part-time role runs 09:00–13:30 on weekdays, teaching children and preparing nutritious meals while maintaining food safety and stock control.

You will lead the kitchen operation, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, manage orders and records, and support pupils, staff and visitors with courteous service.

The post centres on running the school kitchen day to day, producing nutritious meals while keeping food safety and stock control on track. It is part-time, weekdays 09:00 to 13:30 for 39.2 weeks a year, a daytime post rather than a full-time kitchen role. Candidates need the right to work in the UK, and the role requires an Enhanced DBS check with a Children's Barred List check.
