Job summary

Education Authority Enniskillen is seeking a part-time Catering Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of school kitchen operations. You will lead the catering team, manage menus, ensure allergen compliance, and maintain HACCP standards while coordinating with school staff and parents.

The role involves stock control, budget oversight, staff supervision, and promoting the service during events and theme days. A strong focus on quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent.
• Experience supervising a catering team.
• Experience with stock control, budget management and financial controls.
• Knowledge of HACCP and allergen handling.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.

Responsibilities

• Execute skilled cooking activities and menu development.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service and dining centres.
• Ensure HACCP and safety standards are met.
• Manage deliveries, ordering, storage and stock-take.
• Promote the catering service to parents, principals and pupils.
• Lead staff and conduct appraisals and training.
