The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Catering Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of school kitchen facilities in Bangor. You will direct cooking activities, menus, dietary provisions, and ensure safe, high‑quality meal delivery for children, young people and staff.

You will supervise catering teams, manage ordering and stock, monitor costs, and uphold HACCP, food hygiene, and regulatory standards while promoting a positive service culture across dining facilities.

Formación

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or City & Guilds 706-1/706-2 or equivalent
• Two years’ demonstrable experience in food preparation and cooking in a catering establishment
• Evidence of effective supervision or management of a catering team
• Experience in stock control, budget management and financial controls

Responsabilidades

• Execute skilled cooking and menu provisions, including dietary needs and texture modification.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service, including service points and meal transportation if required.
• Manage dining centre kitchens and production kitchen.
• Maintain HACCP and current food safety standards.
• Record food temperatures and maintain required records.
• Oversee deliveries, ordering, storage and stock‑take to minimise wastage.
• Ensure safe operation of kitchen equipment and report defects.
• Promote catering services to parents, principals, pupils and customers.
• Establish communication links with the school on service delivery.
• Investigate and report customer complaints to Regional Operations Manager.
• Support risk assessments including Fire Risk Assessment.
• Provide training and maintain staff records.
