Job summary

Education Authority in Derry/Londonderry is seeking a Catering Manager to lead day-to-day kitchen operations, oversee dining centres, and ensure HACCP compliance for safe meals for children, staff and schools.

You will manage food service, ordering, stock, staff rotas, training and appraisals, while promoting meals uptake through theme days and events and maintaining allergy and food safety records.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in food prep and cooking or equivalent, or 2 years' catering experience.
• Experience supervising a catering team and managing stock, budget and financial controls.
• Knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day kitchen operations and dining centre kitchens.
• Organise food service, deliveries, stock take and waste minimisation.
• Ensure food safety, allergen management, and allergen matrix upkeep.
• Promote catering service to increase uptake and engagement.
• Lead staff meetings, training, and appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and EA policies.
