Job summary

The Education Authority is seeking a Catering Manager for Antrim-based schools. You will lead the catering team, oversee all kitchen operations, ensure food safety and allergen compliance, and deliver a high-quality meals service for children and staff across multiple sites.

You will plan menus, monitor stock and budgets, supervise staff, and promote the catering service to raise uptake during school sessions and events. A strong background in food safety and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• HACCP knowledge and food safety compliance.
• Knowledge of providing special diets and allergens.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Must have access to suitable transport or mobility to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations and dining centre supervision.
• Oversee food preparation, portion control, and presentation.
• Organise food service, deliveries, stock, and waste control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and allergen management.
• Promote catering services to pupils, staff and parents; handle complaints.
• Lead and develop catering staff; manage rosters and training.
