Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Catering Manager for Ballymena AN area. The role oversees kitchen operations, dining centres, and the production kitchen, ensuring safe cooking, allergen compliance, and high-quality meals for children and staff.

You will lead a catering team, manage orders, deliveries, and stock while monitoring costs, maintaining records, and promoting the service within the school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
• Knowledge of providing special diets, allergens, and ethnic diets.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Must have access to suitable transport for mobility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the kitchen and dining centres.
• Organise and supervise all aspects of food service, including deliveries and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and allergen management.
• Promote the catering service to parents, principals, pupils and customers.
• Manage budgets, stock, and resources for efficient operation.
