Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school catering team in East Sussex. You will help with basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

Join a friendly, fast-paced environment with full training provided. You will work term-time, 20 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, earning £12.71 per hour. DBS disclosure may be required to safeguard children.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy school kitchen.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-line service with friendly, polite customer care for students and staff.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen and ensure health and safety compliance.
