Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is hiring a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen operations, handling basic food preparation and friendly service to pupils and staff. You’ll work on the tills during service, with full training provided.

This part-time role runs Monday to Friday during term time, 10 hours per week across 38 weeks, paying £12.71 per hour. We value teamwork, health and safety basics, and a positive, can-do attitude; prior catering experience is welcome but not essential as training

Qualifications

• Teamwork in a busy school catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and service during lunchtimes.
• Operate tills during service and provide friendly customer service to pupils and staff.
• Support the team with essential food-related tasks and upkeep of kitchen standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment and adhere to Health & Safety compliance.
